I thought, "Why not make it reversible?" when I chose the fabrics for this coat. It can be easily switched depending on your mood, with fur on the inside or fur on the outside. It might be a difficult choice, as both sides are incredibly soft. One side is navy blue scuba suede, while the other is the softest faux chinchilla imaginable in a beautiful slate blue color: it is a difficult decision.
The swing coat from the 1950s is slightly toned down due to the weight of the fabric. However, it still feels and looks like a swing coat. A hood completes the look.
A vintage silk tie finishes the fur side of the coat around the hood and down the front.
In seam side pockets on both sides below the waist stay hidden from view.
The coat is both machine washable and machine dryable. It has undergone three washer and dryer cycles: once before cutting, once after cutting, and once after the final details were applied. For washing, use the delicate cycle with cool water. The simplest way to care for this coat is to spot clean it with a cold, damp cloth and allow it to air out between wearings.
