Linda Kuntz, the Maker

Who am I? I am a retired accountant who has never given up my love for creating with any medium. Now, I have the time to share that joy with others.

I was fortunate enough to earn a good living during my career, which allowed me to explore all kinds of art: watercolor, pastels, polymer clay, tailoring, resin art, soap making—the list goes on! Now, I happily have a sewing room, an art studio, and plenty of time to create, create, create!

As an avid reader, I always strive to share the joy of reading with others. I began reading aloud to my son while I was pregnant with him, starting with "King Arthur: The Once and Future King." It took all nine months! He allowed me to read a book to him every night until he became a "big" boy at the end of elementary school. Those are cherished memories for both of us. Although he isn’t a big reader now, the knowledge he absorbed and the tales he listened to helped shape him into the wonderful person he is today.

The inspiration for my book boxes came from an antique box that my mother sent me. Combining it with my art materials, I developed the concept of a lighted box diorama. Unlike common kits, each of my creations is uniquely crafted from my imagination, requiring considerable experimentation and thought.

I can think of no better way to share my love of reading. These book boxes are designed to be keepsakes that evoke cherished memories, create new ones, and inspire children's journeys of discovery.

Thank you for coming along in that journey.
